Since being elected, I'm proud to say that we
have acquired 3600 acres of open space for
forest preserve land in our district. This is
land that otherwise would have been thousands of
more homes.
By aggressively pursing the purchase of land and
making it available for us to enjoy for ever as
open space, I've prevented over 10,000 homes
from being built that would have added 1M
vehicle trips per day on our road system; 19,000
more students that would have been added to an
already crowded school and more taxes to educate
them.
