Carter is best Republican
January 24, 2008
Bonnie Thomson Carter's, R-5th, enthusiasm and dedication to public
service have served constituents well in her work on the Lake County
Board. We believe she should be the Republicans' nominee for the
County Board.
Her involvement with helping Wauconda Township change from
contaminated wells to the village of Wauconda's water supply was
extremely important to residents. While the four-year process was
grueling, she was there helping residents every step of the way.
She has also served admirably as president of the Lake County Forest
Preserve Board. She was instrumental in helping the forest preserve
purchase land to keep it from being developed. She is also helping
in the effort to get an equestrian center built here, which would be
used for the 2016 Summer Olympics and beyond.
Her opponent, Kirk Denz, is a hard-working and hard-charging
opponent, with a proven ability to accomplish tasks while working
with government agencies. But his views overall don't represent the
majority of Republicans in Lake County or its 5th District.
Bonnie Thomson Carter is endorsed.
